"John Adams" This lively costumed interpretation by George Baker offered insights about Adams early life and influences, his role as Ambassador and as as a key Founding Father, his Presidency and his 50 year friendship with Thomas Jefferson.
Baker concluded his presentation with a quote from the Rev. William Sloane Coffin "May God give us the grace never to sell ourselves short, the grace to take a big risk for a great good and the grace to know that the world is too dangerous for anything but the truth, and too small for anything but love."
Jointly presented by the Avon Free Public Library, the Avon Historical Society and the Avon Senior Center & Community Center.
