Founded in 1950, the Friends of the Wadsworth Atheneum (formerly the Women's Committee) is a group of dedicated volunteers who help ensure the vitality of the museum for generations to come. Since their inception, the Friends of the Wadsworth Atheneum have raised over one million dollars in financial support and have generously donated countless volunteer hours.
